Kristy, a socialite, lives the Beverly Hills Rich Girl life. Hers is one big party and she expects everyone to jump for her. Most do, including her faithful lapdog, Ruffy, dressed in matching designer and princess outfits.
A trust-fund supported, spoiled woman who owns everything imaginable, and yet…has nothing. When she is forced out of her shallow existence, she discovers much more to life and love than she thought!
Kristy tries in vain, but cannot find her "Prince" Charming at the Beverly Hills clubs and bars. Before she visits her favorite club, her father Gerard lets her wear a priceless, jeweled, family heirloom--a valuable tiara.
At the club that night, Kristy encounters a handsome stranger, Max, an expert treasure-hunter. During the night, she loses the tiara. When her father Gerard finds out, he gets very angry about her spoiled and irresponsible ways and decides to teach her a lesson. He tells her she will be cut out of the inheritance unless she goes out there and proves herself and makes her own life.
Next day on her 35th birthday, he gives her coordinates to a treasure map. Kristy sees her chance to get her own fortune. She meets Max again, and reluctantly she agrees to go on the hunt with him and Josh her adopted brother, to find her gold. After a disastrous start, she holds her own and finds more than gold.
As the hunt for the gold progresses she drops the "princess" act and transforms into a real live heroine with a big heart and because of Max, for the first time, gets in touch with her true feelings-and saves the day.
